Identifying the signs and symptoms of eating disorders – Aberdeen Parent Council Forum

Identifying the signs and symptoms of eating disorders

A recent survey by YouGov found that less than one in three adults (34%) in the UK could not name any signs or symptoms of eating disorders.
The eating disorder charity Beat, which commissioned the research, links low awareness of the early signs with delayed treatment and increased risk of the illness becoming severe and enduring.

If you would like to improve your understanding of the signs and symptoms and /or get advice on how to support a young person with an eating disorder, the Beat website can be found at: beateatingdisorders.org.uk
