Young Scot Choices for Life a new interactive video
Choices for Life
On Wednesday 13th May 2015. Police Scotland in partnership with Young Scot launched a new interactive tool “Choices’ at an event at Hampden Park as part of the Choices for Life campaign. The campaign targets a range of issues such as alcohol, tobacco and drug use. It aims to provide young people with credible information to enable them to make positive choices and informed personal decisions about the risks and dangers surrounding such issues.
The new interactive video is focused on the use of psychoactive substances or so called legal highs. The tool allows the viewer to follow the main character Ben as he prepares for and attends a night out with friends. At different points in the scenario the viewer is invited to make key decisions that will influence the final outcomes for Ben.
The tool was launched by Mr Paul Wheelhouse, Minister for Community Safety and Legal Affairs at the Scottish Government before an audience of pupils from a number of schools. The tool was very well received and provides a base for thought provoking discussions on this very topical issue.
The new tool can be accessed via the Young Scot website and is definitely worth a visit at as is all the website: –
